1K Dog Run (Fun Run with Pets)

Distance: 1 kilometer

Type: Non-Competitive/Untimed

Participants: Runner + Dog

Owner/Handler:

• Participation is open to individuals eighteen (18) years old and above.

• Each registered participant may handle only one (1) dog during the activity.

• Handlers must be physically capable of maintaining proper control of their dog at all times throughout the event.

• Participants must follow all instructions given by event marshals and organizers.

• All participants are required to accomplish and sign the Event Waiver and Release of Liability Form prior to participation.

Pet Guidelines:                        

• This category is open to dogs only.

• The event welcomes all dog breeds, including mixed breeds and aspins, provided that dogs are healthy and properly managed by their handlers.

• Dogs must be at least twelve (12) months old on event day.

• All participating dogs must be in good health, physically fit for light activity, and must have updated and complete vaccinations, including anti-rabies vaccination.

• Owners must bring the original and photocopy of vaccination records for verification when required.

• Female dogs in heat are not permitted within the event premises.

• Dogs must remain on leash or secured with an appropriate harness at all times.

• Participants are encouraged to bring water for their dogs

• Owners of dogs with known aggressive tendencies are required to provide a properly fitted muzzle as an added safety precaution.

• Participants are required to clean up after their pets and properly dispose of waste.

• Dogs must never be left unattended during the event.

• The organizers reserve the right to refuse or remove participation of any dog that displays aggressive or unsafe behavior, shows signs of illness, distress, or exhaustion, or may pose risk or disruption to other participants, pets, or event operations.

Mechanics:

• The route covers 1 kilometer within a designated and secured event area.

• This category is strictly non-competitive. There will be no official timing, ranking, or awarding of placements.

• Participants may walk, jog, or move at a relaxed and comfortable pace suitable for both the handler and the dog.

• Animal welfare shall be prioritized at all times. Participants are encouraged to allow their dogs to move comfortably and may stop, rest, or withdraw from the route whenever necessary.

• Participants intending to overtake must do so carefully and respectfully to avoid startling or stressing other dogs. Sudden pulling, crowding, or unsafe pacing is discouraged.

• A maximum cut-off time of 1 hour will be implemented

5K Category

Distance: 5 kilometers

Type:  Competitive/ Officially Timed

Participants: Human Runners

Eligibility & Guidelines:

• Open to individuals thirteen (13) years old and above.

• Participants below eighteen (18) years old must submit a parent/guardian consent form, which must be signed by the parent or guardian.

• Participants must be physically fit to complete the 5KM distance.

• Participants must follow all instructions given by event marshals and organizers.

• All participants are required to accomplish and sign the Event Waiver and Release of Liability Form prior to participation.

Mechanics:

• The race covers a total distance of 5 kilometers along the official and designated event route.

• This category is competitive and officially timed. Rankings will be based on recorded finish times

• Official timing will determine overall and category rankings. Only registered participants wearing the official race bib will be eligible for awards.

• A maximum cut-off time of 1 hour will be implemented

• This category is strictly for human participants. Pets are not allowed.

Participants may be disqualified for:

• Bib switching or unauthorized transfer of registration

• Short-cutting or deviating from the official route

• Unsportsmanlike or unsafe conduct

• Failure to follow race rules or instructions from race marshals and organizers.

10K Category

Distance: 10 kilometers

Type:  Competitive/ Officially Timed

Participants: Human Runners

Eligibility & Guidelines:

• Open to individuals sixteen (16) years old and above.

• Participants below eighteen (18) years old must submit a signed parental/guardian consent form.

• Participants must be physically fit to complete the 10KM distance.

• Participants must follow all instructions given by event marshals, and organizers.

• All participants are required to complete and sign the Event Waiver and Release of Liability Form prior to participation.

• The race covers a total distance of 10 kilometers along the official and designated event route.

• This category is competitive and officially timed. Rankings will be based on recorded finish times
